RESOURCE OFFICER

 

Mill Creek School welcomes Sergeant Teddy Lenard.  Teddy is a 1989 graduate of Mill Creek School and a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation.

He has a total of 26 years of law enforcement experience, 19 of which are with the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

During his career he has also spent time as a patrolman at Kingston Police Department and a Deputy and Undersheriff with the Murray County Sheriff's Office.

In 2016 he returned to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.  During his 19 years with the Johnston County Sheriff's Office, he has held the positions of Deputy, Undersheriff, Captain and currently he is the Sergeant/Supervisor for the SROs (School Resource Officers) in the county.  He was Johnston County Court House security from February 2021- September 2023.

Sergeant Lenard holds a Basic, Intermediate and Advanced law enforcement certifications trough CLEET.  He has attended the Criminal Investigation Academy, Active Shooter Training, TLO (Threat Liaison Officer) and new Sheriff's Academy through CLEET.

He holds law enforcement commissions through the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police, Choctaw Lighthorse Police and a Special Law Enforcement Commission (SLEC) through the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Teddy and his wife Misty have been married 17 years.  They have a son Colton.  Teddy has two older children, a daughter Shayna, and a son Cody, which he lost in December 2021.

We are so blessed to have him here protecting and serving!
